The July number of Castings and Forgings News focussed on foundries the Netherlands. About half a page was about SANDERS and our focus on delivering service including complete CNC machining, short delivery times and special materials like ADI and wear resistant castings for the dredging industry.

A new 6 axis CNC machining centre was installed in April.

We ordered a new Mazak VTC 800 / 30 SR. It is a vertical machining centre with a travelling column and provides angle boring, multiple face milling and 5-axis simultaneous machining thanks to the 100° swing spindle and two horizontal/vertical CNC rotary tables.

This machine will be used for machining cast-iron parts (pump housings / gearboxes / frames) and different kinds of gears (helical / bevel / hypoid / spiral), pinions, gear racks and axes.

We expect this machine to be operational end 2008 / beginning 2009.

March 10 2008: Sanders Foundry and Machining has a new website.

This CNC controlled horizontal machine can also be fitted with a milling head.
