History
Sanders’ Iron foundry and Machine factory BV is one of the eldest industrial companies in the east, or even in the whole of Holland. For over 150 years now, Sanders’ is known as a reliable partner for both national and international customers. We constantly react to market developments and think ahead in the field of technology.
Albertus Sanders is the founder of our corporation. In 1846 he started a blacksmiths’ shop in Haaksbergen, a small town in the East of Holland. In 1874 Sanders established his machine factory and iron foundry in the larger city of Enschede, near the German border. Around 1918, he expanded his services of machine part production to a new field of expertise. A field, which still determines our success: the development and production of custom-made gear and bearings.
From 1846 until the early twenties, four generations of Sanders presided over the company. Due to the lack of a new successor, the business was sold to W.G. Stapper in 1991. The distinctive aspects of Sanders’ success, such as reliability, technical knowledge and a personal approach, still define the company today. Apart from that, Stapper invested in the renewal of machinery and equipment, process optimization and improvement of the service provision as a whole. Currently, speed and flexibility form the centre of our organization. Amongst other things, this policy and the take-over of Arens Tandwielen BV, successfully moved Sanders into the twenty first century.
In June 2005 the machine factory and gear production were relocated to a small town by the name of Goor. This new location provides almost endless new possibilities, including a larger production area, superior logistics and space for the expansion of our machine park. About six months later the foundry also moved to Goor, in order to share in the profitable, spacious and modern facilities.

Today
Our modern society, with its broad technical abilities, knows no limits in mass production and consuming. Nonetheless, a great need for craftsmanship and small-scaleness remains. Beside the quality of our services and the typical made to measure goods, we greatly value innovation. Sanders is continuously agile on the latest technical developments and integrates them in the organization.
